Does that actually offer you more than one choice? I must select "Sound and Audio Devices" to get to the window containing an "Audio" tab to make the selection. I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING solved how do i connect my wi fi router with my laptop. By using cammand moden type : sfc /scannow 2. It has a small red x where the sound icon is at the bottom of the screen. Check This Out Not sure why, but sometimes it would randomly just stop working.

I clicked Settings\Devices then typed in Sound in the search box. This will ensure the sound is going through the HDMI cable to your monitor. I've tried EVERYTHING.I think it stopped working after I installed my new graphics card, but when I took it out, the audio still wasn't working. that program will search and install a driver compatible with your sound card and iT should solve the problem. Both versions can be used to download drivers automatically. I feel like I've tried everything. But after a quick glance at the page it looked like a lot of work.
