Sony Vaio Speakers Not Working Headphones Work


I seem to be having the same problem my earphones work now but I have to re-open apps when I plug in!! I can hear fine with headphones but not externally. After unplugging external headphone, I lost sound on my laptop speaker.The problem was that the switch, where you plug in external device, did not trip back. plugging and unplugging the headphones really worked the instant i did it. That's right. Sony Vaio Laptop Sound Not Working I installed Realtek AC97 and it was instant fix. I tried everything and got really upset before I found this, little did I know I just had to jiggle around my headphone plug.. Is it because of Vista (home premium 32 bit)??

Uninstalled and reinstalled the Conexant drivers.
