I think that it will work because I have read numerous posts online where people had this problem while running Windows XP Pro. Open up Settings in the Start menu, then search for Windows Mobility Center. It came with Windows 7 and upgraded my way to Windows 10 Pro.
Wifi was dropping periodically but I went to Atheros' website to grab the most recent driver for my card and I think things are working more smoothly.
