Because daniel_k`s unofficial soundpacks didnt work for me, i decided to install the actuall creative drivers and started a support request. In any case ensure that the X-Fi microphone is actually enabled and set as the device to use there.
Gone into levels of the speakers that are highlighted in the piccy and the mic is not muted. After that check the levels on the recording devices and it should be ready to go.Hope this helps.
